**Overview:**

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Dispatcher to join our team. As an Emergency Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating emergency response efforts and providing critical support to first responders.

**Responsibilities:**

- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls for assistance

- Gather essential information from callers to determine the nature and urgency of the situation

- Dispatch appropriate emergency services such as police, fire, or medical assistance

- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers to assist in emergency situations

- Monitor and track the status of first responders in the field

- Utilize phone triage techniques to assess caller needs accurately

- Analyze situations quickly and make sound decisions under pressure

- Utilize GPS and GIS systems to provide accurate location information to responders

- Communicate effectively with callers, emergency personnel, and other agencies

- Employ conflict management skills to handle high-stress situations calmly

**Qualifications:**

- Previous experience in emergency dispatching or a related field is preferred but not required

- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and protocols is a plus
